CloseDesign brief
We create .NET tutorials for software developers who want to learn the latest technologies in a visual manner.
First of all, check out our existing website:
LearnVisualStudio.NET
We target beginner to intermediate level software developers who are transitioning to .NET, C#, VB or ASP.NET.

This project is for a homepage re-design for our website, LearnVisualStudio.NET. We love almost everything about it … but it's time for a change, AND we need to move to a more flexible Content Management System. We've chosen Sitefinity (by Telerik). Here you can see a default Sitefinity website "out of the box":
http://dev.learnvisualstudio.net
Notice that the dimensions of the site are much wider than our original website. That is one reason for the change. Another reason for a change is that we want to do more interesting things on the front page, like live-streaming a daily "show" via Ustream.tv, and we want to make the "next action" on the site more obvious. Take a look at:
http://www.campaignmonitor.com
Their general layout is about the same dimensions as the Sitefinity template. AND we love the two big buttons (green and blue) that make it obvious what the focal point of that page is. We want to do something similar.
