    eliminated to make way for the new edit one...

    I think you should withhold your Kudos until the CH actually pays on a winner. I'd be mildly surprised at this point if he did (4 days AWOL). Looks to me like he was looking for design inspiration to finish his pligg site by himself and why hef avored designs similiar to what he had. The CH is welcome to prove me wrong. I'd love to see a winner.

    I think I will have to agree with Hamilton. The CH did ask for input on how he was running the contest so its fair game to respond. The brief is all a designer has to go by and in this case it was clearly off. SO far none of the five star designs is in any danger of being mistaken for a news site. Far, far from it (except perhaps for webnix). Thats not saying any of the those designs are inferior just that they do not meet what the CH SAID he wanted. big difference.

    Hamilton's point is in part well taken. MANY of the remaining designs are in fact reworks of the present site the CH has and if that was his preference the brief should call for that rather than a complete new design as it did.

    Special shout out to Rk_Corp. Like your take on this contest. Good design. Props to the winner no matter who it is as long as there is one and he gets paid.

    I agree that "designs that are surviving differ a lot from the brief" but nevertheless great contest holder, quick and good feedbacks. Maybe not the best written brief but contest holding is very good. (I am saying this, even though I am eliminated:))
