I agree with CanadaArtDesign, people send quite a lot of work on (at least) the concept of their design. Some designs might seem like an easy 15 minutes of work, but it's the building and sketching of the structure that is not quite as fast or easy. people attempted to give the holder quality work and now the CH says the most just copied and is going with some private designer.

This isn't 99 Designs style and the holder should know that he just did a very childish and disrespectful action. Not by just insulting (though some did just copy), but by wasting everyone's time without a care.

This just shows no respect for the time we put into our work.
Already as it is, it's not worth to work for free, in the hope that you will be the lucky one, unless you do it for yourself to better yourself and your portfolio.
It would have been fair for everyone to submit their designs, and if the CH is smart enough he can see which designer came with the original idea.

Anyways 99Designs should track down the Mystery designer and close his/her account. If he doesn't want to compete he should find his own clients and do his freelance work on his own and not waste everybody's time.

The easiest way to win is to read the design brief thoroughly, not many of you are using idea's I came up with. Such as white with fade in background patterns like xango, navigation bar & stock ticker like Wizetrade.com, Bars right across design like Xango.
I'm looking for something clean and fresh. << what abotu this comment of yours? i think it's very specific so most of the designs will look the same.

And i think you don;t have to withdraw the contest. Let them (mystery designers) submit at the last moment so no one can copy their designs..

there is NO such thing as a copied design, sure it looks alike BUT adding stuff to it makes it your own, but if you just design it from pure copying then yes, rip, im sad i wasted my time with this guy, guys, gold.com will never go up if it does we have the right to know who designed it then get the guy banned. PM advertising is not tolerated.

We're all afraid that somebody else can copy our ideas and win just because CH like somebody's variation a little bit better but that is not reason not to submit and go on PM. If everybody think like "mystery designer" then we don't need 99design, just PM each other and that's it. Even if there is a lot of "copied" designs, CH can just ignore them and pick one that like. I ask CH to give us appropriate explanation on his actions. Very sad. I'm very angry 'cause people like this downgrade an excellent online community!

Ok so we have a mystery designer who did not submit because he knew he would be copied? Maybe he copied his design from some template site and passed it on to you privately? I guess we will never know. The designer needs to get the hell out of 99designs if he/she doesnt like the way things are done here.
