Design brief

Brief Overview

Atomia is a small startup but with a great vision. We have worked hard on producing a full-scale automation platform for the hosting industry. Our goal is to be the natural choice when hosting companies want to replace in-house or legacy systems for a modular and scalable automation platform developed for modern hosting infrastructures.

If you become the designer of our webpage, we'll do our best to let people know.

Brand Name

Atomia

Target Audience

1. Hosting companies
2. Companies with processes that would need the benefit of automation

Requirements

Submissions to this contest should reflect a possible design of our website frontpage (www.atomia.com). It should include colors from one of these two possible color palettes:

1) Green, brown, pink
2) Green, brown, other color you find appropriate

Please see our current, modest, web page design (www.atomia.com) for possible color tones.

The design should be a two-colum design, one for content, one for sidebar menu items. It should be fairly easy to make changes to the final design so that the sidebar could be on the left or on the right side of the content column (go to atomia.com and visit "Blog", then "About", to see the sidebar switch place).

The design should also allow for a menu bar at the top.

Moreover, it should have a modern touch, with lots of space between elements. However, the use of colors should be rememberable. Seeing our website, and its color scheme, should be memorable and not to be confused with other "web companies". Even though it should have a professional touch, one should realize there are a group of nice folks behind this webpage, not some faceless corporation.

UPDATE 2009-11-03:

Pages we like (design-wise):

We really like the colors they use and how they have worked with texts.
Nice design and great use of elements.
Nice design and use of elements.

Without copying - maybe design suggestions that are some kind of merge between these three pages and what we like from them.

UPDATE 2009-11-09

Have added a short PDF document with layouts and webpage elements that we like and that we somehow want integrated into possible designs you submit.
