Thank you everyone for your comment. Since we received so many great designs, we will make a decision very shortly.
We feel that there is no reason for certain contestants to continue in the wrong direction and waste time. I'd rather state which one's i like, don't like, and why, which is why it's called feedback. And feedback is encouraged by 99designs.
CH provided feedback on my design as follows: "not a big fan of this color, or the rose. we are trying to go for luxury and simplicity. we dont want overt connotations of sex." - This is hilarious.
My response: "I am not sure what a rose has to do with sex. It's more about romance, same as silk bed sheets. What about my purple design?" According to the rules, feedback is to be provided to all entries. That is the least courtesy to give when we sat hours to work on this stuff, you know.
What is even more interesting, this concerns you, roktiv, is the feedback provided to ejanek (no fault of yours) 5 star entry by CH: "can you use some of the shading type stuff on the design, kind of like what roktiv is doing?"
I so agree with Nadia and Createabit: this is a blatant violation of copyright. This contest is not a team effort and then 1 person gets paid. I know this goes on too often, but there are several such comments in this one, along with a public request to supply personal contact information, so she can do it in privacy.
I would encourage all participants in this contest to check later to see how many copyright violation will be included on CH's web site when it goes life.
I also agree with Nadia. If you like a particular design choose this design as a winner, then have the winning designer make the tweaks. Cloning other websites and asking designers to mimic other design entries is unprofessional and infringes on copyright laws.
thank you for all of your feedback. We appreciate it. We do have a specific idea of how our website should look, which we've outlined in our above and in our comments. Some designers have followed our guidance more closely than others and those who have not we have asked them to make their work more like what we like (to give them a better chance of winning our bid).

actually he/she is not asking to copy other entries. If you look careful at those entries, they are very similiar with the sites the contest holder posted in the brief - which in my opinion look extremely amateur compared to todays web standards...
if you want to win the contest and you don't care how your work will look, just copy westelm.com, I'm sure Jenny will love it :)
please forgive me if I'm wrong, but a lot of people with whom I've worked with follow this pattern and the same seems to apply here. They would ask you a site design and give you 2-3 links to sites they like, and whatever you came up with they would turn it down, or ask you changes until you practically clone those sites...
I have to agree with Nadia here, and its not a comfortable position to put designers in: cheat or loose.

I have to agree with design101s' comments with his entry. You are saying you want original, but then ask the designers to copy aspects from another entry - sorry, that's just not done (or at least by designers that value their work and don't want anyone else to copy what they have done)............ sorry, but it had to be said. This is happening too often, contest holders asking designers to copy others' work. :-(
