hi Nadia P.
First thing I always use upper case "CH" for contest holder. Its my nature. (You can see it from other my other contests as well) ... No other thing was in my mind. I don't have any problem if someone is winning many contests of same CH.
Was my comments to you really sarcastic? "Doing great job!" .... is this meant to be sarcastic?
Would like to not take it further. Leaving it here. I think my comments was for wrong person at wrong place.
WOW - only came here to print off my design and noticed the new comments.
@crea8iveart - Not sure if your comment was meant to be sarcastic or even snide, but the tone and with the use of uppercase (contest holder), I think it may very well have been - and I'm not exactly sure why :-(
If you take a look at Brendons' contest history, I have not won *all* his contests, the majority of wins have been for blog style layouts - for which I've won quite a few contests, not only Brendons - so I guess you can say I'm pretty good at this type of layout/design.
I'm also very capable at reading/interpreting a brief and the necessary requirements for a design. I've been a freelance designer/developer full time for over 9 years, so I am pretty experienced at dealing with clients and knowing instinctively what is needed for their site, even if only having a written brief to go on. Most of my dealings are exclusively with people via the internet, either dealing directly with a client or sub-contracting, not so much face to face, so this type of experience is useful when entering these contests.
As far as I know, it is not Brendon selecting the winning designs, the final decision is made by his clients (as is the case with most contest holders here) and this is proven by his comments.
I have also won more than one contest for a contest holder in the past and I'm sure you have too (Bedrock and Accelerated Capital come to mind).. so if someone wins more than one contest for a contest holder, you somehow see a problem with that... Why is that?
Consider this for a minute: why would someone pay the costs to hold a contest, to then only choose the same designer over and over again - wouldn't it be cheaper to deal directly with that designer???
If you have a problem with me winning so many contests, feel free to PM me instead of making comments that do not reflect too well on you.
Dear CH !
First of all, my comments was for Nadia P, not for you. Was anything wrong in my comments? I never pointed anything on you. Kindly see my comments and come back again.
Thanks for your sarcastic comment crea8iveart.
If I remember correctly you've complained directly to me before and I assured you Nadia P was winning on her merits each time.
Which she is.
As an aside, we have a new guy in the business (Toby) who manages our designs now. Before starting work with us Toby had entered a competition and was beaten by Nadia - after being here a few days he said he thought we must have had some sort of deal with Nadia for her to be winning lots of our contests.
He then started running our contests and was very firm in not showing any bias.
The first contest he ran: the client looks at 50 designs and chooses Nadia P.
2nd contest: the client looks at our 6 recommended designs, Toby strongly recommends 2 designs (neither of which are Nadia's). And yep, client goes against Toby's recommendations and chooses Nadia's design.
Client's love her designs - it's that simple.
Perhaps a more effective use of your time would be to analyze why Nadia P keeps winning? It seems pretty obvious to me:
* fresh designs
* unique designs
* nice colour that catches the eye
* early entries (clients seem to fall in love with her designs and then don't want to change their mind as the contest goes on)
If you don't have anything constructive to add then please don't waste our time having to refute your erroneous claims.
Cheers
Brendon
Congrats Nadia for winning continuously for this CONTEST HOLDER! :)
Doing great job!!
Thanks Capstone :-)
Congrats Nadia ! :)

Congratz Nadia ;)
We're still waiting on feedback from our client so we've had to extend the contest by 3 days. Once we have spoken to our client we'll come back to all of you with some extra feedback.
Thanks for your patience designers, keep up the good work
