I didn't put anything in the brief about other Launceston-related photos because, well, I didn't even think of mentioning it! :) I should point out though, that my client's comments on Nadia's design were 'it's simple, easy to read and very classy', so it wasn't just the photos. Thanks for entering, though - I did quite like your designs!

Hi there everyone,

I have received enough entries for the time being!! Please don't submit any more entries, as my client is getting a little overwhelmed as it is :-) He does have a favourite so far (#11), but I am just running the last few designs by him for additional feedback.

I won't close the contest just yet, until he has decided firmly on a concept.

Again, great work everyone - I can't tell you how impressed I am with the designs, and the willingness of people to make adjustments quickly etc. I'll certainly be using this method again.

@.11 - No, it does not have to be a Best Western Theme, although the Best Western logo definitely needs to be on there.

@Abstract - I'm not sure where I mentioned coded?? It's just the design for the Home Page - I simply put the navigation in the brief, so you know what other pages will be within the site. I'll be sure to specify UNCODED for my next contest :) (unless of course I do want it coded!)

@John - It's up to you whether or not you submit an entry, although of course I'd like you to. I'll make it clear though - the footer will read "Launceston Web Design : JKB Web Solutions". I include it in all of my developed websites, as do any number of other web development businesses around, and the 'Launceston Web Design' part is actually for SEO, not to specifically claim the design as my own.

Comments on designs so far

- please don't have a box for finding a room, as this small site simply won't have that functionality.
- please don't embed the flash movie into the design - just the pictures is fine. I'll probably do an external pop-up of the movie, as the movie has sound in it, and I don't like home pages that start playing sound with no warning!

I will make individual comments on each design on that design's page.

Lastly, my client will be having final say on which design they choose (of course), so I will try to be as quick with feedback as possible. I will comment on each design personally for improvements / suggestions, before taking them to my client for review.

Please forgive me if I wasn't 100% clear up front, as this IS my first contest :-) I sincerely want to do the right thing by all of you, and give you constructive, timely feedback.

Thanks again for the designs so far - I'm very impressed, particularly with #2 and #6.
