The site’s purpose will be to serve as the online presence for Kent Campbell’s campaign for Sheriff of Indian River County, Florida. The site’s overall appeal should be a combination of United States patriotism and Law Enforcement. Kent Campbell served in the United States Marine Corps, so an essence of USMC can be added as well. This website should set itself apart from similar sites in both design and layout. The winning submission will be one that dignifies the office of sheriff and displays the candidate’s web presence in a professional manner, preserving the integrity and professionalism found in the context of the office of sheriff.

The state-mandated colors for all Sheriff Agencies are dark green, white, and black. The shield (badge) of Florida Sheriff’s departments is a five-point golden star.

Navigation Specs: Navigation location is up to the designer’s discretion, but the following links are needed:

 Home – Who I Am – Get Involved – Photo Gallery – FAQ – Links – Contact

The index page should include an area that a button can be inserted to link for PayPal donations, as well as a place to insert new press releases or other important information.

Banner: The header image can be patriotic or can utilize elements of law enforcement. I would also like the banner to perhaps include an image or overlay of a bald eagle, as well as an American flag – not necessarily an entire visible flag, but enough for the viewer to discern it’s indeed an American flag.

Most of all – use your creativity. The developers who browse and submit their designs on SitePoint are some of the most gifted and talented web designers in existence. Exercise that creative gift!
