Congratulations Darayz on a cool and original design!
revision3 ftw
Extend the contest, please!
Twitter only allows background images that are smaller than 800k. GIF, JPG, PNG. #information :)
The contest holder has guaranteed to award the $500 prize!
Keep it up everyone...one thing to note...if you read the brief...you will see she does NOT want a big picture of herself anywhere.

Good luck!
REDESIGN #43
The over-all feel and color is that of Matrix, the movie. The vertical blurs simulates the codes streaking downwards. I used contemporary fonts in this version, but we can always change them according to your taste. What I think is important is the color and the feel of the background design, and from there we can put test and elements as per your specs.
In other words, this submission is just the starting point of the design process that we must embark on together.
@ Brooke, I've found testing with my own 17" and 24" monitors, that approx 300-320px on the left is the way to go. If you go wider, just make sure that the area on the left closest to the twitter content box looks ok if it shrinks and goes 'under' the twitter feed area... the right side of course needs to blend into a background colour that is specified in the twitter settings.
One thing to remember - where I got caught out, is don't use white text in the sidebar - because you'll end up with white text in the twitter content area - which means you won't see it as you can't change that background color, it is always white :-)
Found a great resource here for Twitter template sizing. Hope it helps.

I see what you mean Nadia, thanks for being so helpful. Would you say 300 pixels on the left is probably best?
You guys may want to read some of the comments at this twitter contest - about the available space on the left side of the the twitter dialogue box and sizes in general.

The Twitter feed *does not* sit in the center of the screen, so a centered layout/background is not going to work :-)
Haha, wow. I totally read your "Don't Wants" as part of the "Wants" section. Maybe if there had been a lolcat with "Do Not Want", I would have realized what the Brief actually said.
I'll fix my entry up after my semester ends on Monday. I've got a totally new idea for the design anyway.
Please make sure you read the Brief before submitting! Thanks!
@dyymonn i think you right.......the background should be for everyone....not just for veronica.........sorry i realized this after postin the comment.......
veronica what is your screen size??
and how much sized image you want.........
i made the image but my screen is of 1024x768....so its cropped and the design is not visible.....
if you wanna consider people like me then i have to make the design closer to center and much smaller.........
or i can go with much higher resolution image probably for screens larger then 17"(1024x768).....
thank you
that helps me decide what to use in the design
