Great work you guys! In fact, I see more than one winner here. I see at least 2 or 3 minimum! I'm new to the 99designs.com format, please pardon me a day or so while I figure out how to award more prizes! If any of you have advice, drop me a line.

    Designs in the running are (in no order): #70, #69, #63, #54, #51, #13, #38, #39, #54, #52, #51, #47, #45, #40, #44, #20.

Fantastic contribution by all of you who participated!

I think #33 rocks! It calls to mind the rebellion and insistance of keeping a black identity (no more "passing") while making a clear statement that education is power. Combining the two symbols speaks to the culture crossing which educated black men must do. I'd love to see elementary and middle school boys in my neighborhood schools wearing this shirt!

    I agree...I like #6 a lot too. :) I love the brown swoosh....

I also like #44 ....definitely a different style than #6, but a very cool illustration.... almost looks like a logo. Nice font :)

#6 Coming along nicely. I like the metaphorical contrast of setting the graduation cap low as if it were a ball cap you'd wear in the hood.

#7 is looking good! That's the kind of design that would leave a question mark in the head of a passerby, but get a nod from a passerby who knew the score.

I'd like to start a line of these types of t-shirts, I'll need the crowds help. And don't forget to read the brief for an idea of what I'm looking for. For instance, http://www.barsputnik.com/admin/ima…erookk.jpg and http://www.cscc.edu/ets/graduation%20cap.jpg, I'd love to see someone bring that concept to life.

Kins2: Here's one example of one type of design I might like. Take the picture linked to below, its a guy with his arms crossed in a B-boy stance(breakdance lingo). Put a graduation cap on him.

#2 there is too much 'pimp' in your design, its a little garish. (the purple, leopardskin, gold) Also I'm not interested in caricatures.
