CloseDesign brief
Tropo is an API for the phone system. We make it easy for developers to add voice, SMS, and instant messaging to applications. You use familiar web programming with no special telephony knowledge required. Tropo is a product of Voxeo, a 10 year old pioneer in VoIP with 150,000 developers, including half of the Fortune 500.
Tropo's aim is to bring voice applications to smaller developers and startups, groups that are often put off by the costs and complexity of traditional VoIP development.
See http://tropo.com/ for information about Tropo. The logo has recently changed, and the site design is changing to match, so please don't use the site as a style guide.
Tropo
Our audience is primarily web developers -- both startups and indie developers. Because we offer a 100% free developer platform, we also have a large number of hobbyists and students using the platform.
Because the audience are developers, they trend toward 20-35 year old males. They are interested in technology and tend to be early adopters of trends.
This is a shirt that will be given out at events and trade shows. However, it's of utmost importance that it not look like a cheap tradeshow giveaway. Think designer Ts, not corporate artwork.
We want a shirt that developers are proud to wear, not something that just ends up at the bottom of their drawer.
Designing something that doesn't fit the usual mold of artwork centered on the chest or back is encouraged. Wrap things around the sides. Put something over the sleeve. Run it off the bottom. Have fun.
The logo should be prominent, either in size or placement. Someone familiar with Tropo seeing the shirt at a distance of 100 feet should recognize it and the logo. Attached are full color and single color logos in both horizontal and vertical orientations.
