South by Southwest (SXSW) consists of three conferences: Music, Film and Interactive.
The SXSW Conferences & Festivals offer the unique convergence of original music, independent films, and emerging technologies. Fostering creative and professional growth alike, SXSW is the premier destination for discovery.
Year after year, the event is a launching pad for new creative content. New media presentations, music showcases and film screenings provide buzz-generating exposure for creators and compelling entertainment for audiences.
Please go to our web site, http://sxsw.com, to learn more about who we are and what we do.
South by Southwest Conferences & Festivals (SXSW)
The people who attend our conferences and festivals are music industry professionals (record labels, bookers, agents, managers, etc.), musicians, film industry professionals (studio executives, actors, agents, etc.), filmmakers, Internet professionals (programmers, web designers, entrepreneurs, bloggers, game designers, account managers, company executives, etc.), plus thousands of representatives from national and international press agencies. While the majority of attendees are Music, Film and Interactive industry professionals, they are also all big fans of their industry.
The design must include the name of our company. You can use the acronym SXSW or spell it out as South by Southwest.
We want unique, original artwork. We don't want a reinterpretation of our current look and feel, which you can see on our web site. Your design can relate to one of our conferences specifically or it can be a combination of all three, perhaps demonstrating the convergence between the three industries.
The design must include a signature line "Designed by (your name here) at 99designs.com" no larger than 18pt type or longer than 6 inches.
Final artwork must be vector art, preferably an Illustrator file (CS3 or lower). Final art should reproduce correctly at 11" wide. Please take the screen-printing process into account when creating your design. No more than six colors.
If you'd like to see some of the t-shirts we've done in the past, go to http://sxsw.com/merchandise
After the submission period closes and designs are no longer selected...we will choose the top 5 designs and then let the community vote for the winner.
