To set appropriate expectations, I will need to review the final designs with the printer to ensure that they can be produced correctly on plastic cards. There is definitely a winner out of so many great designs, so I appreciate your patience after the contest ends.

Which operating system are you using? If we have compatible operating system fonts, than I can use of the fonts on your system. Most fonts can cost nearly $150 to license, and standard practice for PROFESSIONAL DESIGNERS, is to build any incurred font cost into the final bill. Ulahts, one of the moderators can clarify this for you.

If a non-standard font is used for the card details (not the logo, but the things likely to change such as name, title, address, etc) then it needs to be included in final product. The licensing cost (if it is not a free font) needs to be absorbed by the designer.

The prize of $300 is to include the design and any font(s) necessary for me to produce the card for my co-workers or if my office details changes.

If any current finalist cannot meet this requirement, then please submit a design revision that is compliant.

Additionally, we cannot, by law, supply you with fonts. You will have to purchase a license for them.

Some of these designs are not possible to print on a plastic frosted card. I know this since of my own experience designing / executing cards like this. You can not bleed colors next to each other or it will burn the plastic. The only way to print 2 colors together is to print on the front of the card / back. This makes the card have a color back which does not look that great. So its more of a restriction.

Ask your printer before choosing the winner if the design is real world compliant.
