Thanks to everyone for participating. We met today with the client and the client selected a winner: salescrafter (submissions 9, 10, 11, and 12). The client was very impressed with the diversity of ideas and ultimately liked many designs, picking in the end from designs submitted by salescrafter, interpidguppy, patelsepna, cfaile and pixelised. We will be in touch with salescrafter to arrange for payment and final deliverables.

We look forward to running more contests on SitePoint.

June 12, 2007 Note:

Thanks to everyone for your great designs and ideas. The contest ends on Wed. and we will share all revisions and new designs that come in prior to contest end, with the client. We have provided specific feedback to all designs and designers, including the final set of revisions client would like to see. There are some great choices! We expect to meet with the client at the conclusion of this week/beginning of next week for a final discussion and decision.

We will be meeting with the client in the afternoon of June 10. If you would like feedback from the client, please submit your new designs or revisions before 12 pm Chicago time on June 10 so that we can incorporate your submission in our meeting with the client.

June 7, 2007 Note:

Thanks to everyone for your ideas. We and the client look forward to seeing more! We left feedback for all submissions, as promised. As you will note, client liked a few designs and did not like some others. Some general observations for those who will adjust their designs or consider submitting new designs:

If you use a graphic, use something that would be appropriate for a law firm.

Client strongly prefers blue. We suggest you stick with that color generally

Client does not like multiple colors. Stick with one or a color and black.

Client prefers business cards that are white or mostly white on one side. No preference for reverse side.

Client prefers more block lettering to cursive fonts. Also, we suggest staying away from fonts that are ultra modern.

Client wants a sophisticated, elegant design that is also simple. This does not mean a simple design. As you will see in comments, some designs so far are going in the right direction, others are not.
