Attention all designers. We have asked 99 designs to extend the competition, unfortunately a mistake has been made - we have not eliminated your designs. Please be patient while we rectify this problem.
Yes, will do.
I thought we had 3 days to work on the design after being selected as finalists. can you please reopen the contest so we could submit our edited designs?
Are you going to reopen the contest for those who you want to work with to redesign the label?
Hi All
I feel we are almost there with this luxury label.
The female icon is what we want the customer to walk away with. That is why I kept referring to Layers of definitions being important. Female Icon first, AYA second, spirit of the vine etc follows.
Some designers have been able to enhance her with further energy, which is on brand, but unfortunately failed in others area of the design.
High end has a special design language, less is more, subtlety and style. Many designers have part of these elements in their design, but we need this in a full packaged label.
We need a background texture by way of print to add to the high end feel.
With shape better to stay standard rectangle than a shape that may be interpreted by the consumer as gimmicky.
Hope this Helps
font is not already present in the attach file?
Hi All.
There is some great work there.
The areas of improvement that are needed are in the feel. The correct selection of font can help and subtle background textures.
Also Label cut. I feel we can not go extreme as the customer may not see it as a fine high end wine. We can only stretch the limits slightly.
Hope this helps!
great one #508!
Hi All
We need the female Icon to be the centre of attention, and everything else to support it according to its relevance. AYA second, spirit of the vine etc follows.
It is best that design elements are not on top of each other. eg AYA on top of the female icon.
It is luxury. Design and feel is pinnacle. Textured paper can add to high end subtle feel.
Hope this helps!
HI, I NEED YOUR FEEDBACK, THANK YOU
Hi all,
In production it is NOT possible to align the design on the cap with the label.
Therefore only cap designs that do not rely on alignment can work. eg AYA AYA AYA going around the cap can work or writing at 45 degree angles. The cap needs to be matched to the label. End cap design is generally no problem.
Another option is a small wrap around label is okay for the cap as we can align this.
Big Hi to all. Please note the Aya logo icon needs to be the hero. Some designs are getting too busy.It is great to have a unique cut, though it needs to fit the high end positioning. Hope this helps!
The paper type depends of the availability to have the print house. I can suggest types of paper but maybe in my country have a different name, depending on the brand.
We're noticing that almost all designs have a "reflective/metallic" look to the labels. It would be nice to see some designs that are done on high quality paper - matt or textured to give it a nice "feel" other than metallic.
Some nice work coming through. Please note we are eliminating a lot of designs, not becausse they are not good, but rather clarify and focus directions - so keep submitting anyone that has been eliminated.
To be of help, please take note of the following suggestions.
1. Stay away from loud bold colours. It's more about subtle elegance. So think more along the lines towards as monochromatic look. Like black on black or white on white watemarks - this seems to work.
2. The use of gold, silver and white works.
3. Try and keep designs clean and elegant - think zen.
