    Skylar, it could be any design a creative one or a bad one but if you mention do not use stock photo and then you reward with 4 or 5 star designs with stock photos that is lying. Is God a liar?

    Skylar, not everything that is made in the name of the lord is from the Lord. This contest was managed poorly and create a lot of confusion between designers. God do things in order and in perfect harmony. This is not the case. So think, Is God behind this?... Don't think so.

    @Ridolfi Designs

    I know, you are frustrated that the contest holder chose a design you don't believe is designed well nor meets the criteria...

    In order to not make this some huge debate, I will just PM you.

    Dude, I am not complaining about the design that was chosen. I am saying the contest holder totally didn't handle this contest in the best way.

    I don't complain to a client when they pick a poor design but I will tell them that the design they picked is not the strongest design for whatever reason. From there, it is up to them.

    @Ridolfi Designs

    Again, I understand your frustration but in all honesty complaining about what the client likes shouldn't be the first thing on peoples minds. Do you ever publicly complain about the choice a client makes between two designs you present him or her, the one they choose being less desirable (which you don't like) versus choosing the one you do like?

    The client in this case liked that design. Would I have chosen it, no. But that doesn't matter. It's our job to design ace for the client, presenting them not only with the best possible choice but also an explanation as to why the design meets the criteria mentioned in the brief. Sometimes clients change their minds.

    This is the design business.

    i don't care about the religious side of it, who cares. I'm a designer. In fact I am an atheist so "God" has nothing to do with it. And I'm not angry. This was my first contest entry here and I learned alot. I hope to enter alot more & maybe win one someday. Good luck all designers with your current and future design entries. And wtg winner.

    That's the problem with mega-churches, the pastor has no touch with the people. A little integrity doesn't hurt, does it?

    Come on now Ridolfi...in a megachurch, it is not the senior pastor administrating things such as this; it's somebody else. The big negative in this case is that it seems whoever administrated this did not know the proper etiquette for 99designs contests. I, too, wish there was better communication in this contest, but the reality is that processing thousands of entries is harder than we'd like to admit.

    Bottom line: a unique design got chosen, and the book will be a great blessing to lots of people, if Warren's previous books are any indication. I'm sorry, but if a 99designs contest being mishandled is enough to sway one's opinion of megachurches (or organized religion in general), that's small-mindedness. Would you rather not have had the chance to win $5,000 to begin with?

    Suck it up, people...sour grapes make great whine.

    @Skylar People aren't complaining their design wasn't picked they complaining about the way the contest holder handled this contest. I have seen this several times and this is my last contest on here. I mostly did this stuff just to kill time in between clients but I am not wasting anymore time on here. If "christians" act the same way poor contest holders do on here then there is no HOPE for 99designs.

    Have a nice day.
