The #1070 image is from Dream Theater's new album booklet (Black Clouds and Silver Linings).

Originally, there is a fish above the water, where now he puts the ''you need'' text.

#2346 = he wrote in the comment of his entry: "design uses a stock image to simulate textured paper; can design similar background if printing to generic stock." Nice to be honest. :)

Thanks again for your submission and patience. We are working with the publisher to whittle down our selections using the star rating within the system. This process is helping us and the author to get to a final decision shortly.

With over 3,000 submissions for one book, we know that this can be a painful process for the designer as they are not picked during the final process. We have spent many hours going through EVERY design and are reminded of how God made each of you unique and this shows in your creativity! We have commented over and over that these designs could be used for so many covers. The problem is that we have to pick one.

You can be assured that we are fairly looking at all submissions and that the $5,000 will be paid to one of you!

    God bless and stay tuned...

try again, they recommended against it. was a risk on my part that they might just ignore mine, my choice to make.

i even posted the link to the license in question. Did you look at it, or just comment on it because you think you are right and no one else could possibly know what they were talking about.

Its called research, any responsible designer will do it so that a client doesn't end up in copyright court over something.

ewhenry - the problem is the brief states no stock images what you used is a stock image meaning the ch would have to pay for the copyright of the picture.
