CloseDesign brief
Phil Dobbie
I am a journalist who has just written his first novel. I am self-publishing with Amazon's CreateSpace (print on demand) and I need a design that's more inspiring than the one I have created for free using their templates!
Entertainment & The Arts
I want a cover for a humorous (satirical) novel called The Incumbent. You can read the first chapter and a brief summary at http://theincumbent.phildobbie.com. I have attached a (typo-ridden) copy of the first five chapters to give you a flavour of the novel.
The back needs to include the summary shown on the current design, also attached, but I may have a couple of quotes from readers to include in a later design, so there needs to be allowance for that.
It's a 6 x 9 paperback, that needs to follow the design specks for CreateSpace - https://www.createspace.com/Product…verPDF.jsp
Although it needs to work as a spread (front and back and binding), the cover needs to stand alone and this is all that'll be seen by people buying the KIndle version of the book.
I've been told my writing style is very close to Ben Elton.

The people appeals to people in the technology space - but not necessarily totally geeky people.
