Everyone please read the design brief again to make sure you are getting everything we need. Thanks for your suggestion "Moonlillydesigns", that makes it sound like we are scientifically manipulating our chili. We also do not want to overemphasize the heat of our chili. Thank you all! We are almost to a winner, keep up the good work!

I don't really see anything "wild wild west", I don't see six guns, cowboy hats or bullet holes. I also disagree about the science fact, science has been around for thousands of years. I also like how it explains the name of the chili. I would be more akin to the discoverer motif that you spoke of than dead or alive chili. I agree with Zoey and I appreciate the comment, that is what we are trying to get at and I couldn't have said it better myself (obviously, because I didn't). I hope this helps and thanks for the input.

Actually, when I look at number 5 ratings, I don't see wild west? To me it depicts a recipe that has been around for a long time, a hot product, a product that has withstood the test of time. Just my opinion.

I think it is a nice idea to put chili science on the packaging but it would fit better on the backside. Talking about science facts on the front contrasts very much with the old world style you wish.
I am puzzling a little bit about what you understand of "old world" since you gave 5 star ratings to the wild west designs. Do you want a Style that lets peoples associate with the first discoverers of America bringing back exotic spices to Europe or more a wild west, wanted dead or alive chili style? Both styles fit great to chili but at least #1 seems to be heading the first direction too.

It is not an artificial "chemical" but the active ingredient. The "heat" in the chili causes pain which in turn causes our bodies to release endorphins. If anything, the more interesting things about the product you tell me then the more likely I am to purchase. This is not a problem for me. Cooking is actually all about science, which is why it is so interesting and fun.

    Hello dzine and everyone,
I appreciate your input, I definitely like to hear feedback from everyone. Capsaicin is actually the "natural" substance in chili the gives it the feeling of "heat", it is not "added". I am sure you are aware that even natural substances have a chemical formula. In this case it is relevent to add as the name is based on the "science" of red chili. I get what you are saying and will discuss this with my other associates. I wonder if adding the word "natural" would help or changing the word "scientific" to something else. I personally feel it is not an issue as most poeple who love red chili have heard of this, at least through my research and experience. But, I also do not want to turn off a certain group of poeple who do not appreciate what we are trying to do. I also feel the word "natural" might be a good addition with the recent focus on the environment and nature. Does anyone else have an opinion on this topic? I will be giving input to the recent submissions soon. I must say great work everyone! I am amazed at the amount of talent on this website, it is amazing.

Wo-do you mean "scientific fact"? Are you sure that you want to put emphasis on the fact that a chemical is used to add to the intensity? I will do what alof of people will do, and do some research to see what the heck capsaicin is. But, personally, I dont like to mix science and food. That would not be a selling point to me. Just my six cents worth.

We have decided to add the "science" information on the front. Right below the name "Science fact: Capsaicin (8-methyl-N-vanily-6-nonenamide) is what gives red chili its intensity". We are keeping it short. Thanks!
