    Guys,

I want to thank everybody for their wonderful entires. I really appreciate it.

It was a close call between feketegy and maginno. While both of the entries were original and unique, we decided to go with maginno as it was more of a style we were looking for.

Once again, I appreciate all of the entries and we may be in touch with the runners up for the future projects, as well.

    Boris

feketegy, There is an existing site with a signup form which I assume is secure. Mordcomm is only asking for images that denote this. Your other points about server side scripting are valid and another reason why I tried to stay within the confines of what already exists and works on the site - otherwise it becomes an entirely different project than a design one with some coding. I don't think yours strays from that either since what I saw was tooltips and they don' affect anything in that regard. I went in another direction as explained in my entry but it gives Mordcomm more options.

Can you simply take a screenshot and copy the image? Or just put a placeholder image there?

I don't want you to go through the extra trouble doing all this extra work. I just want to see a general mockup and then we'll go from there.

I can do php scripting for the form but i don't know your server configuration, and this must be installed on your server in order to see it in action.

The data collection, email, username, etc. is much more easier and secure to pass the handling to server side scripting like PHP or ASP or whatever program resides on your server. Usually it is PHP because it is open source, but not always. So when the client type in the username, password, etc. and proceeds to the second form page the submitted data usually is passed and handled to PHP the server side scripting program.

'show any privacy, security labels, like a bit 128-bit encryption icon or something'
this is not possible without any ssl certificate...

Can you specify what involved server side scripting?

what you asking it automatically includes server side scripting(PHP, ASP, etc.), but we don't have access to your server, therefore how can we give you a result?

    Guys,

Here are some additional ideas and things to keep in mind if you want to submit a new/another entry. The tips at the bottom is what we will be looking for when making a decision.

    ====

Option #1. List plan options before the actual forms: http://www.onestat.com/products/web…lyzer.html

    a. The page should offer a breakdown of the 2 major plans with plans, features listed

    b. AFTER selecting the plan, visitor is taken to the 2-step forms; first step collects email, username and password; second step collects billing address and cc info.

NOTE: make sure to show on top which plan they have selected and give them an option to change it (not drop down) in case they change their mind

Option #2. Plan description on the left side: https://www.clicktracks.com/hosted/…t=Analyzer

    a. Remove left column on the checkout page, so you have more room to work with
    b. list plan details on the left side and first page of the form on the right side (email, username, pass, plan drop down)
    c. second step collects billing info

    TIPS:
    - clearly label the steps, even the future ones. example here: https://www.nextstat.com/register.php
    - show any privacy, security labels, like a bit 128-bit encryption icon or something
    - visually separate sections of the form on the page
    - Ask for the email as soon as possible, so we could make sure that once they enter email and proceed to the next step, wehave their info stored in case they don't complete the billing step (if you can build in a script to do that, we will pay extra)
    - Does the form save info in case of an error? does it clearly label the field with an error?

"do you need form checking? i mean when the signup button is clicked it should check for valid form data?"

    - Not necessarily for your entry. However, if you are selected, you would need to do that.
