Dear Designers,

the public (adults & kids from Europe & China) voting has finished. It has been a very close race and the outcome was also a little surprise for myself.
Initially factorized designs fell back in the voting others were voted ahead.

For me all designs in the final round were great and if I could I would have chosen all of them. Each of them had something special.

Here is the final result of the votes:

The winning design First place with an average score of 3.5 (21 votes)
is #22 from classicrock
Runner up on Second place with an average score of 3.3 (20 votes)
is #33 from claasicrock
On the third place with an average score of 3.1 (21 votes)
is #27 from Blink Design

As you can see it was a very tight and close final result

You did a really great job and for sure if there will be new jobs you guys will be our first choice

Dear Designers,
thank you all for your great participation and your great design ideas. I know it was not easy but the results look great. After finalization we might need some real fine-tuning and possibly a quick translation into German language (I will provide the information) and then we are ready to go.
We started running a public vote and will also get some voting from the potential customer (the kids) to pick the winning design.
To be honest I love all of them and it will be hard to choose

Dear Designers,
you are not making my life easy - by now we have a series of really nice designs and it will be very hard to choose a winner.
So far you ALL do a great job - we are almost there!
A few little teaks and the translation into German and we will have a really great packaging design!

Dear Designers,
The set contains 40 characters in total. 20pc on the front side and 20pcs on the backside, covered with a blister on each side of the packaging.

Update to all
please try to use the original size, colors and line widths of the characters to see the overall impressions. Characters are 65mm high, "line width"=13mm.
The mix is A=red 2x; E=yellow 3x; I=pink 2x; O=green 2x; U=pink 2x; all others=dark blue.
Important - there will be 20 characters on each side of the packaging
The features and icon can be spread freely on both sides, only the bar code should be on backside.
Product description / usage information
not everything must be on the packaging e.g the description of the color mix is design information only, the customer can see the color mix. So its mainly information what the product is, what can be done with it - take what you find useful.
Judging from some entries maybe our original concept has too many colors and might be too much mix, if you have a better ideas please feel free to use yours!

I have have uploaded a word file in which the product, its usage is further described. The document also contains the required information on the packaging. Pls keep in mind that the packaging content will have to be also in German at a later stage.

the provided background was a conceptional idea we thought that could be nice as basis for the whole product range of MagiPad products ( http://saltoweb.biz/homepage/products/19) if you have a better proposal that's fine but our company logo needs to stay. Also text, product name, infos etc should be there - products as stated will be on both sides
