Brief Overview

RemixGalaxy.com is a site that seeks to attract people who are interested in music production and remixing. Our signature offering is commercial music in multi-track format where the parts of the song (vocals, drums, bass, etc) are in separate audio files so that users can remix them and create their own versions.

Target Audience

Music fans and people interested in music production and remixing. The project involves our email newsletter, which we send out monthly to our website's members to pique their interest, maintain their participation in the site and build our brand. We also distribute the newsletter around the web where we think it is likely to be seen by our target audience.

Requirements

The current version of the newsletter is at: http://www.remixgalaxy.com/files/newsletter/nov2009/nov2009newsletterfinal.html I need a redesign of the header - that part with our logo and the title "In the Mix." Designers are free to start from scratch and not be influenced by the current design. One required element is the logo (provided). The other required element is the title, "In the Mix", although you are free to stylize it according to your creativity. The colors of the newsletter change depending on the time of the year (the current version uses a fall pallete. December's issue might have a red and green or similar holiday color scheme). Therefore, the background color of the banner may change as well, but this is not a requirement of the project. If you use images or other elements that aren't suitable in different colors, that is fine (of course, if they can be colorized with a hue/saturation adjustment layer or similar process, that works too). As for dimensions, the width is fixed (600px) , but height (currently 85px) can be changed in your design. The goal is to look professional, relevant to music production/remixing, appealing and creative. I prefer the deliverable to be a fully layered PSD file.
