Design themes (backgrounds picture/illustrations) for Squace, a Universal Mobile Interface application.
Squace is a Swedish software company providing patent protected (pending), next generation, universal mobile interface application. With Squace the user will have the same experience, the same look and feel regardless of handset and operator – just one click to your bookmarks, contacts, messages and favorite applications.
The contest is to design one or more themes (a theme consists of nine different views - background pictures) that will be used as default set up in Squace.
We will only consider contributions sent in as PSD Adobe PhotoShop or Illustrator (ai).

Squace is a Swedish software company providing patent protected (pending), next generation, universal mobile interface software.
We invented technology for a grid-based, square driven user experience on mass market mobile handsets. Our approach allows users to rapidly and easily explore and share the mobile Internet and key data such as contacts, calendar, bookmarks and more with one scroll and/or click. It gives the user a fast track to their stuff.

As a Squace user it’s easy to personalize the service by adding/removing links, applications or contacts from the web or in the mobile. But, even though you can change themes – first impression last.
The objective, and challenge, of this design contest is to provide an appropriate professional design for the themes (background pictures) that balances the technical and creative aspects of our application.

The pictures will give the user a clear picture of the view he / she is in. If you use text make sure that it is easy to change the text layer. The images will mainly be used on phones with a resolution of 240x257 pixels, but they will also be used on landscape screens. If there are important graphic details in the image they should be placed in the middle of the picture due to our image scaling. See how our image scaling works here
