The inaugural M8Denim Design competition has ended and the winner is design #50 with 734 votes. Congratulations to chris1602 on a great design. We will now go and get his design developed and stay tuned to be able to buy this on the M8Denim website in the future.

Hey Guys, just to remind you that when the competition closes in about 12 hours time, the voting will remain open for an additional 3 days. When the voting window closes we will tally the votes and declare the winner of the US$300 prize. We had hoped to have a screen that would show you the vote tally progress but may not be able to get this finished in time. Either way we will try and provide regular updates via www.m8denim.com website to show what design is leading the votes. Hey wakes, we aim to find the best denim fabric that will provide the finish result that you have submitted. This would include a raw denim finish if required as the manufacturer we use has access to a full range of denim fabrics. If you win we would come back and clarify anything that wasn't clear so we get the best result during the design development process.

Hi wormy, voting isn't just determined by how many friends a designer has. We are hoping that other people who do not know the designers will visit the site and have a point of view on what is the best one. This new M8Denim concept is really based around the online community deciding what wins and gets made. The voting is via a secure WP plugin and people will only be able to vote ONCE and they CANNOT change their vote. Voting should open in the next couple of days.

Hi lecirque, if you have seen it done on other jeans we will be able to do it. Have a look at the video showing how jeans are made at http://blog.m8denim.com/designers-toolbox/ You can seen that the majority of finishing is done after the jeans have been made into garment form. It is a bit difficult to comment further without fully understanding what you want to do.
