Hi all, sorry have been on a businesstrip for a few days, thus my late reply.
1: I have a contract witht person you are drawing and I own all rights in relation to everything with his name, face etc, so have no worries, otherwise I would never have put up the contest.....
2: A carricature is how I want a carricature to look like, there is no wrong or right, so I suggest you just take my feedback as for what it is. I try to give constructive feedback, but as you said I am not an artist myself and I may say somethign odd here and there, but thats just how it is.
3: If you dislike how this is run, then simply withdraw your input and stop the flaming around, this is a contest, not a coffee debate club and this is the very last I will answer to whoever has a problem with it. I pay for this contest and decide how I want things to look, if you dislike how I do things then don't enter the contest.
PS: Any negative replies will be removed and reported.
Except that the feedback is conflicting. VERY conflicting. And there's been a discussion about the whole "client is always right" idea on the boards for ages now. You should check it out.
I think that SoulmanDK is not enough deep in our artistic business...
But he know what exactly want,

Also (seeing that I'm already in this), I have to say that as a CH, you need to have the permission of the original photographer/publisher in order to solicit photomanipulations on any photo. It's a copyright issue, and it's an integral issue for the Usage Agreement on iStock for any photo, so you should assume the same for any privately held photo as well.
*let me add in stinkmeanor into that parenthetical in my first sentence
Soulman: You gave the best caricaturists (me, Patrick, HotSpit) terrible star ratings and conflicting feedback. You tell one of us that our work's "too real", you tell another that it's "too cartoony", and you give the best rating to something that's basically an autotrace/graphic F/X application onto the photos you gave us to work with. Is THAT what you want? Because that's NOT either a caricature or shadow -drawing-, that's a photomanipulation. I really suggest that you change your brief if that's what you really want, because autotracing/applying graphic effects on a photo is a WHOLE different process than actually re-drawing a -caricature- of someone.
