    Hi,

Sorry, yes, good idea. The books are currently A4 Portrait. They are perfect bound with a soft 300gsm cover. As far as the spines go, we need to be a little bit flexible. In that the current books which consist of 140, 80, and 180 pages will soon be changed. So right now, I don't have the exact width of the new book (spine), so will need to just do mockup of aprox spine width, and then do final when ready to go to print.

I would think that if we aim for about 150 pages or so we should be fairly right. They are currently about 10 - 20mm thick. However, I am flexible on the spine. We have our own "perfect binding" machine, and so can play around with the adjustments at binding time. We also have a gillotine, and trim them up as we print them. The less spine we have to deal with the better. Ie, if we have a spine that has to be too exact, then we often waste a few cover until we get it exact, but if the spine is not so important, then we have a bit more to play with - if that makes sense. End result .. keep the spine small and subtle, just a simple logo or something not too big and precise.

    I hope that helps.

    Hello,
we need to know if there is a specific format of the cover of the book (land or portrait, width and height dimensions) or this is something we have to come up with. Is it hard or soft copy (I believe it is soft copy), what is the width of the spine.
    Thanx
