Work with clients on new products. In this case our client is interested in designing a new binder/notebook for sale at office supply stores and mass retailers for middle and high-school students.
Business & Consulting
The school binder/notebook category is moving towards simpler and more durable designs that combine improved functionality with more appealing graphics. Avery wants to see what 3-ring binder, notebook, divider and accessory designs you can come up with that take the next step in this direction.
Desired qualities in your submission:
- Durability: the design must look (and be) durable enough to last the entire school year.
- Graphic Design: Designs should be focused on middle and high school students.
o Middle School: designs should be boy/girl specific and fun.
o High School: designs should be functional, modern and not make a statement about the student’s personality.
In terms of the design, we're very open to any concept. You could submit a cool pattern or some sort of image that would appeal to the different ages and genders. Have fun with it!Also we will be needing the front cover, back cover, and spine for the binder.
ADDENDUM 4/19/12 PM: We are looking for a theme or a storyline that transcends just a pretty image. So don't just submit pretty flowers or geometric shapes; give us a reason why the illustration/art was chosen and what the story behind it is.
