We picked #81 based on market research (since we couldn't decide!)
Strong appreciation to #94, whose design was first rate, but not the perfect fit for our market.

This contest has uncovered some great designers.
Please be patient while we get some market research done.
We will look at what was submitted and declare a winner shortly.

Meanwhile, I wanted to say thank you to all who participated
and also point out a few for the reference of the community.

jpan06 gave us some strong choices
    starting with #17 and #19
    then #34, #47 and #51.

I liked Lyte's style although not for this project,
but I think #70 and #80 show a unique and fun approach.

    sandman666 is a dedicated participant,
shows promise and is someone to watch for.
    See #55.

We had other talented entrants, as you can see.
Two especially stand out and it's a tough decision between them.

daniele scapati brings unique talent into the mix
    starting with his #43 #44,
and then the variations that led up to one of our favorites, #94.

pb-design brings experience and professional talent to the process.
His #52 brought original ideas into the mix
and developed into the strong #81.
(He probably feels complemented that his work is so exciting
that his colors and font seem to inform another designer :) See #82.

So again, please be patient while and we will pick a winner.

We have definitely decided to remove the word book from the text and the image of book from the logo, on the advice of a branding and strategy expert.

I'm no longer sure the image of a book needs to be in the header because of the confusion with a bible.

I wonder if it might work just to leave the word "book" in there, and have the image focus on the concept of hope and words.

#50 Getting things narrowed down to an actual logo image plus text is an attractive idea.

#51 There are too many symbols & cliches overall -- "reaching for the stars," "pot of gold at the end of the rainbow," and "metamorphosis."
The pot of gold made it seem like this was for people wanting to make money, not a self-help book.

#33 I wonder what it would be like to have someone try catepillar on the left, roadway in between, somehow shadowing the letters, and butterfly on the right.

#32 The lettering and background on the right looks cheap. There's not really any interesting graphics at work here.

... However, I really appreciate the thought and creativity of the "note in the bottle" image. No one would consider that a religious image, and we want to be clearly unique that our "words of hope book" is not the bible and the words are not religious. That will be part of what makes us unique in the market.

#30 & #31 I don't think we will use photos of people in either the logo or anywhere else in the header.

Also the only words should be "words of hope book"
We want to include "book". But eliminate all the other phrases.

I would like to see someone try a theme with more humor.
Hope could be illustrated by a catepillar thinking of a butterfly, or a illustration of a Road somehow worked around the text.
Keep all four words in the logo: words of hope book.
