Howdy all,

We have, finally, after much deliberation (it was a bloodbath!), made our decision. ulahts entry labeled webmin5 has been selected as the new logo for Webmin.

I'd like to apologize for taking so long to post our conclusion. We only just came to a conclusion a few hours ago, and we wanted to hear back from ulahts regarding the final deliverable and payment before making a public statement.

I'd also like to say that this has been an entirely pleasant experience. You guys are all champs: you've been enthusiastic, patient with my sometimes cryptic feedback, and your work has been fantastic. It really came down to the wire on this decision. We ended up considering over a dozen finalists over the past couple of days, winnowing them down one painful bit at a time. We ended up enlisting a second professional designer to give us some further advice (luckily, Jamie's sister is a designer), and an art savvy friend, since we were having such a hard time choosing! Everybody had their favorites, and only after much discussion did we finally agree on a single favorite...I think that says a lot about the quality of the work in this contest. Five people could look at the entries and easily end up with five different favorites (we did just that). Top shelf work, guys.

I just messaged another of the finalists to mention that we will be holding more contests (two logos, a branding package, and some banner/tower/block ads) in the near future, as this contest has been an unqualified success. I hope to see all of you again in those contests!

Hey guys,

I just wanted to thank everyone for taking part in the contest. We're having a hard time picking our favorite out of so many fantastic entries!

We've got it narrowed down to about half a dozen (though there's a few new ones we like that we'll be considering), and I expect that me, Jamie, and Kevin, will come to a concensus sometime tomorrow.

Thank you all for your fantastic entries! There's a great bunch of design talent here (and we'll be back for more contests in the future).

Whoever we pick will be hearing from us via private message some time in the next 48 hours, though hopefully sooner.
