Design brief

Brief Summary

New logo required for www.ukhotelnet.com - and a simple 'blank' button which will be used as the basis for buttons within the site.

Brand Name

The UK Hotel Network

Description
Tagline
None used currently - but am open to suggestions.
Desired Color Scheme
Your choice - but see design brief for ideas.
Desired Style
Classy, elegant, authority
Accepted File Formats
Standard Web Formats (.jpg, .gif or .png); Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai)

Overall feel am looking for is elegant, stylish and fresh - but not cliched 'UK' - ie. no images of Big Ben.

Should give the impression of authority and class.

Logo should be part of a banner to go at the top of each page. Dimensions are fixed width (780px) but height can be anything you like (guideline is around 100-120px). Logo should appear on left hand side of banner, with enough blank space on the right hand side for a 486x60 advertising banner - which I'll add later.

Suggested colours (but this is a suggestion only - do not be constrained by this). Deep red/gold, light browns and greens (or light blues and greys?). Silver and gold.

Button 'blank'.

Dimensions are fixed width, 76px, but height is up to you (suggested guideline is 20px).

Current buttons and header used (they looked good two years ago - honest!) can be seen at:

Good luck to all - and I'll be around regularly with constructive feedback as always.

Thanks.

Morag.
