CloseDesign brief
TriOut is a Location Based iPhone application and web portal servicing the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary) area of North Carolina. TriOut helps you meet people, find new places and discover things to do in the Triangle.
Think Foursquare, Gowalla mixed with Yelp, CitySearch but with friends you actually have an opportunity to meet in real life, not just online.
We are a group of developers looking to make an impact to the location based market. We're focusing on our specific community, not the top 50 cities in the world.
Website is online now with current logo: http://tri-out.com
TriOut
Tech saavy people: an iPhone is a required device right now. Twitter and Facebook integration is a huge part.
Male or Female users, should be interesting for all
Primarily college age up to late 30's. Not necessarily the club scene, hitting the bars, nightlife people. We'll have content for parents to enjoy with their kids, people who work all week and just want to find something to do on the weekend, etc
Triangle residents are the demographic, which you can learn more about on the wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Research_Triangle
Fun, bright, bold lines and colors
Theme around the nature and community of North Carolina. Trees are used in the iPhone app but are not required for the logo.
Motivate people to get out of their house and do something, visit a local business or event.
A triangle is being used in the current logo, which is a design element we'd like incorporated somehow.
Website address should not be included in the logo
The brand name TriOut should be included in the logo, but the graphich should be able to stand alone with the "TriOut" text removed.
Should scale up and down well to fit on an iPhone app icon 57x57 as well as on a website 300x300
connecting 144,353 designers with customers seeking design services.
