Just to let you know we have not forgotten you all.
We are delighted to have had such a range of excellent contributions.
My colleague is currently off-grid in Madagascar and cannot access the web.
We will be a couple of days before we confirm the winner
as there is a problem with upper case 'tough' being read as 'touch' can designers please have a look at progressing their designs using lower case too.
I know this does not always work but if you can consider it - it is not mandatory - just a concern.
PLEASE READ THE BRIEF: NO AFRICA SPECIFIC IMAGES
@Nigel Williams—your entry #80 is a nice piece of JOB!
Well done mate!
ALL: Robust cleand design please
Could use the words good.clean.strong as the tagline
Hi Emuface: you're right in principle, but then the fact that #18 is plain type doesn't necessarily mean it's too simple. Take the logo of the cell phone operator Orange for instance. Extremely recognisable - but ultra simple.
#18 received a four star rating but it is just plain type... can you be more specific as to what kind of image you would like to project with word & image juxtaposition? Just featuring the name "Tough Stuff" would not alone be enough for an illiterate to recognize it as so. Let me know, thanks.
ALL: Just so you know we are serious but don't want to mess anyone around: We require business cards, letterheads, and compliment slips layout artwork as part of the fulfillment of this contest. Lets get the logo/image right first then we can finish off with the look of each of these particular items with the winner.
point taken..lol!
BTW to all of you who are using the shape of Africa - while we do indeed focus a lot on Africa we'd want to profile ourselves less continent-specific.
Products we'll be selling would include very low-cost household water filters for instance.
May I know what kind of product did you sell?
Hmm... aren't those exactly the things YOU should figure out, monsieur Higgins?
Just had a few questions. This looks like a great project for a great cause. I was wondering if you had logos of some humanitarian or corps. in your industry that we could key in on? Also could you give an idea about what colors would be appropriate for a logo in this type of environment. Are there certain colors that represent aid or development companies?
Thats more than a few questions...oops!
Thanks
