Thanks to everyone who participated. We were overwhelmed with the quality of designs, effort and originality. We have begun contacting the wining designs. Some of you were asking about the stars and more. I, Steve, was putting stars on the designs. Unfortunately, I got the stomach flu on the last day, and am finally better. ...so there was a little delay.
I narrowed the field to about 30 designs and Jay selected the final designs over a process of several days by slowly culling them down. It was a very hard process for him, and I know that he hemmed and hawed. Overall, Jay and I spent hours and hours debating the different designs. We really appreciate all the submissions.

I'm new to 99 and I'm wondering where the stars come from and who eliminates designs?
I tried to find info on this with no luck. Anyone know?
