OK, it was a tough decision but I've opted for #226. Excellent work m4nticore!

There were so many great designs it was tough to choose. Special mentions to #408 and especially #206. I would have been happy with any of the 3 designs and you made choosing the winner very difficult. I appreciate the hard work and effort that everyone put into this.

I'll be launching another competition very shortly for the design of my homepage and 1 inner page (PSD only, no coding) for the site so stay tuned.

    Update: Contest Over
    ######################################

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who took the time and effort of place an entry for this contest. I've enjoyed it immensely and was taken aback by the number of extremely high quality designs.

At the moment I'm still trying to decide the ultimate winner - it's between a couple of designs and I'm about to discuss with my colleagues here to reach a final decision. I will announce the decision in a couple of hours.

once again, thanks to everyone who participated.

All - there are some great designs out there and I'm working hard to give each entry reasonable feedback. It's about 1am here now and I need to call it a night.

I have a couple of meetings tomorrow with developers but aside from that I'll be on here picking up where I left off, giving feedback and locking in designs that work. Before I go I'd just like to give some general pointers and pick out certain elements of particular designs that are working for me. That's not to say I only want to see variations on these themes, just want to fill you in on where my head is at right now.

#53 I love the fact that the pins seem to have an energy in this one. Like they're having fun.
#64 I like the layout of the text on this because it gets around having to explain why we have a ".at" top level domain. It reads "the buzz at" then you see the dot. I like that.
#71 I like the graphic on this particularly when it's over on the left.
#77 I like the styling of the multiple pushpins on this. They look good enough to eat.
#90 I like the ripples/targets on the base of the pushpin. Heck make 'em bigger :)

There are several good designs I haven't mentioned - I'll update all feedback tomorrow.

    Have fun,
    Paul

@matthiasak - I gotta hold my hands up, I actually suggested he use the map pin as I thought it might work better... always open to having my mind changed though :)

David Cassidy, #87 imo is awesome, the oldstyle pin fills the logo more, balances better. Hope the CH feels the same :P

All - thanks for you submissions so far. I'm going through each entry carefully and doing my best to provide feedback quickly.

I'd like to mention that, although the brief stipulates I want a pushpin I am also open to other ideas. In other words, I will not eliminate a design because it doesn't have a pushpin, or it doesn't have a standard pushpin. If you think you can better represent the brand without a pushpin I'd love to see it... It'll expand my brain.

.. I'm standing firm on 1 thing though: still absolutely no bees anywhere ;)

#2 I like the simplicity of the font, it has a classy feel. The logo will have to include the ".at" top level domain as this will be integral to the marketing. Where's the buzz at?

#3 I like the pushpin in the map graphic, is this something that could be developed do you think. I'm not keen on the font however.

#4 #7 #15 and also #12 to my eyes the pushpin seems a little lost in the middle of the b, it seems to be obscuring or hiding the name somewhat. I like the positioning of the pin in #5

#6 #8 I like the simplicity of the design but feel it might be a little too pared down, #16 is a little better

#11 The concept is very smartbut I'm not sure the design is quite there yet but it made me smile

#13 the text effect is smart but it's not right for the brief

#14 #17 #18 - I don't really like the muted colours or elliptical underline here

#20 I think there might be something to it, has a dynamic feeling but I'm not fond of the font or text layout and think it might be a bit in-you-face/shouty
