Congratulations to all entrants. We loved most of the designs, and picking a winner was very hard.

We asked the opinions of a lot of our friends and family, and the winning design came out as a clear winner, but there was a lot of praise for all. In the end we had to pick the design we felt would best represent our business.

I'm a web developer, and hope to use this service again should my clients want logos (or anything else) designing. I hope some of you will enter my future contests.

Thank you all for your entries. Almost all are great designs, and it's going to be hard to pick a winner.

We will be eliminating some fantastic designs early on, not because they aren't very good, just that they don't fit our requirements.

    Watch this space!

Thanks to everyone submitting their designs as clothing tags. This is great as it show the versatility of the design, but (at least initially) we don't plan on manufacturing own-brand clothing so shouldn't need tags. It's a nice way to present your design, but it's not essential.

Thanks for all the great designs. Picking a winner is going to be very hard.

We're starting to get a good idea of what will work best. Being a logo for a website, it needs to work well in a horizontal format to fit in the header of a site (unless we use some unusual layout), although having a logo that can be re-arranged to work in different layouts (like #11 and #23) may be good (although not essential). It has also occurred to us that it's quite common to have to crop a logo to square (for avatars etc), so it's great to have an element of the logo that can be pulled out for that (again, this is not essential)

A logo with versions to work on dark and light backgrounds (like #16) is appealing.

We like the extension of some of the logos to work as a tiled wallpaper that could possibly be used on the site, although this is definitely not a deal-breaker.

I think we're erring towards a pinky/purpley colour (as in #16 or #11), but are still open to suggestions. We like the extra green introduced in #17 for example.

Thanks again for everyone's hard work.

Very exciting to see the designs coming in. Some general comments to help existing and new designers:

Love the shape of #1 and #3, but the text needs to be more prominent

#2 have lovely prominent text, but the rest of the design is a bit old fashioned

#5 is our favourite so far. Love the contemporary feel of it, the name prominence, and the versatility on different backgrounds.

It's worth mentioning we are open to colour suggestions.
