Hey guys I'm eliminated from this contest, but I've an design IDEA for this, which I want to share.
As CH told earlier they want a Unisex-Logo and if you look carefully in the name you will find both the element there and those are very prompt. The "F" of 'Fitness' and "M" of 'Mash' could easily depict as 'Female' & 'Male'. What do you think guys. But I'm not sure CH will like the idea or not.

in or out - since there are 3 of you deciding - if 2 says in, then it's in. if 2 says out, then it's out. out means elimination.
Point taken. It is a little difficult to use this type of rating system yet not offend anyone when going through hundreds of designs. We were marking logos with 4 stars, because that is the only way to get ones we may like on one page. There are 3 separate people monitoring this contest. 99D should have a way to simply flag the designs we want to see on one page together, then we can assign a ranking. The contest is almost over, but the best way to see what we are responding to is to look at the 4 star designs. Yes, we did mark some of them down. One of us felt it was a four star, the others not, so that is why the rating was dropped. But, you can get a feel for the clean yet slightly edgy look we are going for. Something that appeals to Men and Women. You need to look at it from both sides. Thank you again for all the work you have put in. We also recommend that for contests, 99 Designs should take 10% of the final prize amount and split it among the designers that contributed and got 3 or 4 stars, yet did not win. It's not much, but at least it is something for the people that are spending a lot of time and energy on these contests.
… and don't confuse encouraging people and missleading them, RioRules said some interesting things about the rating in here for sure, but then he immediatly became a contender with #644 yet it's totally feminine and about dance, not fitness (I don't mean to offense the deisgner). For sure in one day this design will be eliminated. It has no point. Maybe you should be more explicit in your brief. Try to explane us what you mean with "clean and funky" in the forum for example.
CH… I think you should change your way of ranking designs, in case you a little idea of what you like. I don't mind having 1 star or 0, but many designs get 5 or 4 stars and then turn to 1 and get eliminated. And what about the designs that get directly 2 or 3 stars?… they will be eliminated anyway. In order to help designers and yourself you should rank in a different way in order we have a clue of what you are looking for.
5 stars are for designs that fit exactly what you need, 4 stars are almost perfect… and so on. But if the rank is changing all the time, then it's totally messy and noone can understand. Thanks.
