I am closing this contest - I really appreciate everyone's contributions. YOu have all done a great job of showing your imagination and connecting it to our concept. I have selected Allan Shepherd's image because it has the right combination of edginess and watchfulness without being too harsh or too nice. I like what he's done with the lettering/font for State Capitol Watch. He has captured what we're trying to accomplish with just the right tone, which I agree, is hard to calculate. I want to thank those of you who accepted my feedback, and worked a variety of angles and possibilities. this is a wonderfl site for business people tryting to get a great look, and I will recommend it to others. Again, thank you so much for your work. You are all talented in a way that I can only dream to be. Paula

Also, "their" is possessive. I corrected that in my logo with the correct form, "there". "Let THERE be light." No offense, Just letting you know. :)

    Hi,

You may wish to break up the logo and the banner into seperate contests. You'll get more participation that way.

In terms of logos, you probably want a JPEG, GIF and/or PSD file format (rather than html-web).
