Hi. Thanks to everybody who submitted designs. There were a number of great ones. I wanted to go with two, but those who hold the purse strings in this organization vetoed that idea. The winner is #34, one of several submitted by Daveg. #4, submitted by squarelogo, is the other one that I had under consideration. I really dug the beaker on wheels. Really nice. Friends - Many thanks for all of your ideas. In the next couple of days I will try to cut my choices down to four or five. At that point, I will have to show those choices to several other people, who may or may not have opinions on the subject. As a primary educational program, this is, after all, a bureaucratic situation, with Department Heads, sponsors, etc, folks who will have a vested interest in the final product. They may be happy with recommendations, we shall see. In addition, we may possibly be able to award more than one winner, just to give ourselves a little flexibility if for no other reason.

I may be able to put up some additional general comments, and I will probably get back to several of you individually. Again, thanks, everybody. Wonderful Stuff. I have been very excited and gratified by the response.

As it happens, they won't let me do that. I tried to enter some stars here, kids, I don't know if it saved that . . . i may have to try again. I will try to post feedback in earnest to all designers tonight. As this is a program run by a bureaucracy (sp?) and co-sponsored by another one, several people/entities may have to sign off on the winning entry. What I will probably do is whittle it down to three or four and then attempt to get a consensus. Great work everybody. Many thanks!

Thanks everybody for your ideas! I really like #14, #8, #7, and #4, the beaker on wheels kind of grabs me. #5 is another good one and that is close to the sort of application the thing will be the logo will be superimposed over that sort of graphic skin. The molecules make a great visual also, I think.

I have photographs of what the old Splash Lab looks like and what the new bigger bus looks like that I could put up here if somebody can tell me how to to it. (Is that possible?) Actually seeing what the bus looks like helps the process of creating the application, I think. Thanks. I'll be back tomorrow.
