thanks
Sarah
hi everyone - the contest holder is making a decision later tonight I will announce winner first thing tomorrow - thank you everyone some great entries here!!!
revision from client: So it appears that I want - very classical looking text with subtle , muted colours and nothing bright and garish.
straplines to try are:
home video editing and transfer
OR
editing and transfer of your home videos
general feedback: the are wanting to move away from the ICON of a DVD etc type image and use an ABSTRACT ICONIC ARTY ICON instead. We feel the ones that are more corporate like (although we still want the fun and crisp element) are the favs (so jhewit22, Romit, waydes and glades) whereas the studenty DVD style ones are just not professional enough for them
Sorry we are evolving our commenst with your new designs!
Thank you
General Feedback:
NO RED
More abstract - not obvious choices of DVDs, clapper boards, directors chairs, film spools etc - arty but retaining dignity and so therefore trust that this company is professional - no comic typefaces that will age easily. Wording needs to incorporate editing your home videos onto DVD. Confident without being garish. Simple but with class. Think about changing what you the customer have ie home movie footage into something very creative, think metaphores, breathing life into your footage, metamorphosis and transformation, can be subtle
feedback given to everyone so far, main feedback in general is that EDITING plays an important part, so although many peopel mention trasnfer editing is in fact more important?
thanks look forward to more variations!
haha...true, never a fan of that :) but it's gotta be someone!
haha
looks like you are first again :) jhewit22
as long as the PSD has full vector images for text/designs etc then yes :) its so I don't have to recreate the image for printing use :) as otherwise it loses some of the sharpness
