lots of great looking submission! #228 looks really great, really does the water concept well. what i noticed thought is it might be too "complex" for a simple logo... something like #230 is also really really nice and saimple. when making the logo, please keep in mind "keep it simple". thanks!

i noticed many people are playing on the "pool" part of cardpool. that's cool and fine, don't feel like you HAVE to play by that. also feel free to play on the word "carpool" too, or the idea of sharing is caring. thanks!

so far i seem to like the dark blue font colors best. haven't seen a green one i like yet, so either avoid green or include a blue alternative. thanks!

thanks for the submissions. please no reflections off the logo. a little reflection on the logo itself is fine. i think we want something as simple as possible, that would look good in any setting: the website, a tshirt, a business card, etc. we don't tend to like the colors that are too pastel. a simple logo like #120 os #158 is nice because its not complicated and should show up on print pretty well. not sure those are the ideal logos, but the fact they are simple is great. it seems like the cards that are spread out or form a circle are a little too "heavy" to be simple, so maybe make those simpler somehow (outline image?) or maybe a different layout. in terms of gradients, please make them very subtle if you have one.

so i think i suggested to a lot of ppl to try putting the image on the right of the text. i take that back. i think putting it up in front is fine, but feel free to do both front and back to see what looks better! thanks!

im starting to see some stacks of cards i like them! i like the concepts from #46, #83, and #88.
- i like #46 because i like the idea of "flying cards" but in this case I can't actually tell if they are flying out, they need to look more like gift cards.
- i like #83 because i like the idea of having a stack of cards piled up, but in this case the stack is too big / heavy.
- i like #88 because the stack of cards are spread like you are playing poker, but they could be spread out more.

please feel free to iterate on these designs or come up with new ones. thanks!

thanks for the submissions people! i like how things are looking. when choosing colors, please choose something somewhere in between fun and formal. if the color is too pastel or colorful, it might come across of as a toy, which isn't what we're looking for. thanks!

thanks for the submission! while definitely not required, i like how people have been incorporating cards into it. i think one challenge with cards is we don't want it to take too much space away from the actual text, so if there is a way to minimize this that'd be great. perhaps one idea is to actually put a stack of cards to the right of the text, instead of above it.

but again, the cards isn't necessary but it would be cool if its pulled off!

thanks for submitted new designs with a more "web 2.0" shiny logo. i think we're looking for something that's between pure web 2.0 and plain solid. the text could be a bit more solid in color so its easy to read, font-wise maybe something between #8 and #15.

thanks for all the submission! we tend to like the submissions that have thicker type fonts and a hint of web 2.0 shiny-ness / gradients, but not overly done. if there is a way to incorporate a stack of cards or a pool of cards, that might be nice but not strictly necessary. thanks and good luck!
