It is extremely easy and not very time consuming to add a white BG or change the colors.
Also I wasn't aware you wanted a banner, cause when you start asking for things like maps and so on, this project is going way past its pay... especially for the people who won't win. But you can find a map like Tae did for free at places.

Vector basically is infinite and scalable, meaning it won't ever lose its quality. Vector art can be made in Illustrator. Sometimes you can't use effects like glows in vector art depending on how you do it ... So the bottom line is you want someone to make sure that your logo is saved in vector format or at least 600 DPI (dots per inch) so when you print the logo on something it will stay clean and crisp and not look blurry or pixelated.
I really like the map in the background that Tae created. Great idea. Can we try to put a of the world in the background or in some spot in the logo?
Also, a friend of mine is concerned about not having a white background. She said that we would be more limited on what we can with the logo. Can we try some logos on what backgrounds? Is this too hard to switch once I pick a logo or can be easily done? Also, she wanted me to make sure the art is vector format (not rastor). Can anyone tell me what the difference is and if these are vector?
Yes you are right. I checked and it does look very similar. I'm not sure if can be reproduced, although I did
check a few different sites that did contain variations of that type of cross. Therefore I have revised
my concept.

Isn't the logo posted with the flames one that looks just like the United Methodist church logo.

Oh, I forgot to ask if we could add ".org" and see what that looks like.
I like these two: blkmtnstudio and Stealth GFX which I rated at a 4. One thought is that it might be interesting to add some flames around the words "Upholding Truth" Like a ring of fire that is spreading. These look great. Thank you for your efforts!
