#37's symbol looks just like the Roxio symbol...
No wonder so many CH's abandon contests. If the first comment I got on a contest was an unnecessary slur, I would move on too. Ziggy, you might think about toning down your comments to be a bit more respectable, to avoid tainting the CH's opinions of all of us here. ;) Just a thought.
Also liking things that are moving, organic, friendly.. more so than harder, colder corporate look & feels..
Overall color schemes that are working for us typically have darker blues, greens and black.
Ziggy has all the right to criticize....AFTER submitting a design
lol #2 ya gotta be orignal. I think thats breaking designers guide lines?
Ya sean. Shame on #2 but you should be more shamed #21 for copying #2 and the logo in the brief. tsk tsk tsk.
One more note - we have to be able to read the business name as "ascendant" not as a mark and the word 'scendant"
and I hope the mark will add something to the look & feel & meaning of the design as opposed to being a riff on the A letterform.. Thanks!
Overall comments - Thanks so much to everyone - these are really beautiful as a first pass!
In general I am finding I love the ones that really integrate the word & any mark, I like the radiating things and think those could be explored more (same on arrows or pointing things). I like the feel or sense of movement. I like the clean feel of a san serif font.
I am not responding so much to the lighter blues although I do like darker blues and complimentary color schemes.
Looking forward to round two!
and #2.. you completely copied the logo he mentioned in the brief that he liked... shame on you

Mind your own business will ya Ziggy? Why do you care how someone else writes the letter A?
I didn't know that letter A can be written and expressed in so many ways. Some gays are even into creation of a new A letter than anything else.
