Brief Summary

The project is for the Greek Sail Training Association, a member of Sail Training International. We require a simple, modern look for both the logo and web page designs, one that will appeal to young people.

Brand Name

STA Hellas

Description
Desired Color Scheme
Main colour blue, to compliment with colours of the Greek flag
Desired Style
Simple, clean, uncluttered
Accepted File Formats
Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai); Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff)

The site is for the Greek Sail Training Association, a non profit organisation. It is targeted at young people who want to gain sailing experience aboard the old tall ships. To get a better idea, please visit the International Sail Training Association at http://www.sailtraininginternational.org/.

The logo should be simple, modern and appeal to young people. It should therefore convey the concept of sailing in tallships (like the old pirate ships) and young people. The logo should include the Greek flag. We were thinking of perhaps a boy and girl pulling on a sail with the Greek flag on it. The figures would be almost stick figures, abstract, but without becoming unrecognisable. Other ideas are also welcome.

The web site should also be simple and clean. The site will use Joomla CMS so we would also require the template design/layout. The content will be very similar to the International Sail Training site referred to above, so please use that as a reference point.

It should combine well with and compliment the logo, possibly using but not limited to, the colours of the Greek flag (light blue and white). Keep in mind, that this has to do with the sea, sun and young people.

The logo and web design should be delivered in one of the Adobe programs formats (i.e. Illustrator or Photoshop). The logo should be in a lossless format, CMYK, suitable for use in making business cards and letterheads.

This contest was originally listed in multiple categories:

  • Logo Design
  • Web Page Design (Coded)
