Design brief

Organization name

Safara Yoga

Description of business

I'm a yoga instructor launching my personal business, Safara Yoga. I bring yoga classes on-site to workplaces, schools and other education facilities. I need a logo and website banner that convey yogic ideas while still being appealing to corporate HR reps and school administrators (so stylish, modern, friendly and not seemingly religious).

Further requirements

As mentioned above, I’ll need a logo with broad appeal that looks good alone plus I’d like a website banner designed that has the logo incorporated. The logo should include the name “Safara Yoga” plus (or within) a design element. The website banner should have the logo plus the words “On-site Yoga With Caitlin Carroll” and any design elements.

The logo could be next to or inside an image or abstract shape…I’m open to different ideas as long as they’re presented in a way that looks more professional and sophisticated than whimsical (please no cartoons or animals). Maybe something that invokes fire in a friendly way because Safara means “fire wind” and the Vinyasa style of yoga I teach is heated and vigorous and teaching yoga to children creates a spark for them. Overall, I’d like it to convey some of these qualities: warmth, calm, professional, cheerful, friendly, polished, multicultural but not hippy-ish, light/glowing, bold, cutting-edge, energizing, caring, restful.

Here are a few different patterns and logos I’m inspired by, but please don’t feel confined by them and feel free to bring your own creativity to it!:
http://tinyurl.com/6uwu3j2 I love the Indian design on this Sigg bottle

http://tinyurl.com/87n3gmb I like how these images are flowing, modern and clean although I don’t want mine to include the stereotypes often on yoga logos like the lotus flower, seated meditating person or praying hands. More unique images that convey yoga/peace/calm/movement would be great though.

http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/164025 A simple, modern, warm logo (the font is a little stiff for my audience, though)

http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/157956 The font and design are wonderful, but please don’t use pink anywhere

http://tinyurl.com/7bpvk3p Love this whole thing: the henna pattern, the colors, and how it's both polished and incorporates an ornate global design.

The audience is fairly sophisticated, affluent, interested in fitness and spirituality, generally well-educated, and urban or suburban.
Please let me know if there’s any additional information I could provide that would be helpful. I'll be active and watching your designs closely to give feedback and update this. Thank you in advance for your time and effort! I look forward to working with you!
