Don't back away from your accusation... be a man or woman about it. You clearly typed "lifted", which means stealing on the planet Earth, where I'm from. CarynG merged the text first in entry #23, so maybe you "lifted" from her. You were out of line before and you still are. athenabelle followed my instructions to move the text closer together and unfortunately, I referred to your entry as an example of what I meant.

_SiD_, I'm sorry you feel that way. The current logo we have (used the last 8 yeas) has the lettering together with the "C" and the "Y" larger and more pronounced, so it's already a part of what we were doing. We have a sign in the store that has the lettering spaced out, so we thought we would try it. My mistake may have been referencing your concept as an EXAMPLE. I should merely have asked that the letters be put together. You did not create "customized" font, CAC Champagne has been around a while, unless you created the font originally, in that case, accept my second apology. If memory serves, I provided the font file in the first place, so I wouldn't need you to send me any vector files. But I am confident that you don't own the rights to moving letters closer together or farther apart - if so, we're all in big trouble. I understand the temperamental nature of "creative types" being one myself, but it's a "bit disappointing" when it goes way too far when it's clearly a case of ego getting in the way of professional behavior. Sure, we all want to be sure we don't infringe (those with integrity anyway) and it's really tough when we feel we've been infringed, but this is a stretch. Further more, I have always held good contests, going above and beyond to appreciate and respect all talent and efforts and defend designers who have been infringed - even so far as to reject copies that were actually better. I am ONLY posting this publicly, because you felt the need to publicly accuse me. You should have sent a private message as the rules state. Thanks a million for your entry (I thought it was great!). All the best in your design future and best wishes for a thicker skin.
