To All - Based on input from additional stakeholders, all but two of the designs are no longer being considered as of now. Those designers have been provided additional guidance for changes needed, and the winning design is likely to come from one of those two.

For everyone else, please do not submit any more designs for this contest, and thank you all for your submissions! Please focus your efforts elsewhere, and look for the related Website contest that will start shortly after this contest concludes.

To All Designers - Many of the designs have been submitted for additional input to the stakeholders on this project. Once that feedback is received, most of the designs will likely be eliminated based on preference, and the few remaining may be asked for additional tweaks to select the winner.

Please note that the deliverable for this contest is both layered Photoshop files AND vector format files for resizing. The prize has also been increased to $250.

Ideally, the design should also work with little modification on a white background (with perhaps only the typeface color(s) changing and not the graphics), and it should reproduce well at small sizes and on material like shirts, so make sure the type sizes are larger enough in proportion to each other. Thanks!

#11 has something going for it in that the fireworks image is incorporated with the name.

#11-13 are challenging in that the imagery is perhaps too stylized - the fireworks need to look like something close to fireworks, more like #4.

Initial Feedback is as follows:

#4, #7, #8, and #10 are the ones most headed in the right direction - I would like to see some element that indicates the shooting up of the shell in flight - the streak of sparks that you see when a large shell rises in the air, sometimes called the tail. Other typefaces as well, possibly including some all lower case.

#3 - the size of the type used will not reproduce well in small sizes, and the typeface is a bit dated and tired.

#4 - I really like the graphical element approach. Expand on that if you could to other shapes, more than one shape, with different colors, tails, etc. It is also good in that it would reproduce with the type in reverse on a white background.

#5 - The firework element is good - I'd like to see more elements in other colors like it that leverage the different shapes. And, a different typeface, not a script style.

#6 should lose the elements at the corners, and add more elements like the main one, in different colors.

#7 - I need to see this on a black background. If you can do more with the design element on the left to have it imply the R in Ramsey and the P in Pyrotechnics, even better.

#8 - Please look at a smaller typeface for the tagline, perhaps explore other typefaces, and look at adding the 'tails' - the sparks shooting up before the shell explodes - as well as different shapes per the examples provided.

#9 - I need to see a version on a black background.

#10 - pretty cool - the colors should be more vivid but not compete with the name, and experiment with other typefaces and the elements noted above - tails, etc.
