[when i delete an entry it is feedback; feedback saying its not what we want. we are not a mentoring company to teach you how to design logos. if you design something we like we will contact you. that is the benefit of holding contests here.]

    Good,
now that that's over, I have a couple of observations to offer sibdevelopment contest holder.

Perhaps the strongest benefit of Sitepoint contests goes to the contest holder who, for the price of... oh, I don't know...say, a round of golf, gets the creative efforts and enthusiasm of dozens of variously talented individuals. It's called "crowd-sourcing". While I could go on about the advantageous imbalance which goes to the contest holder, that is not my point. My real point is that you presume an alot when you say such things as "we are not a mentoring company to teach you how to design logos.". You presume, for example, that you could. There's some exceptional talent here at Sitepoint...

You also presume you know the purpose of actual feedback which is meant not to "teach" us peons but rather, to take full advantage of Sitepoint's format. There is a wonderful synergy which is typically achieved when there is cooperation between the contest holder and the contest participants. Cooperation in the form of dialogue. That synergy is not restricted to th contest holder and a single entrant but often involves the contest group at large. There's no telling how much you've missed out on by not entering into that process. (No, I'm not saying that Zenius's design is not the perfect solution for your needs. But I am talking about options.) One would never hire a single designer or studio, put a design task before them and suppose that your brief was so thorough, so cleverly succinct, or so obvious, that you would not have to engage in dialogue with them.

Well, there you have it. (I'm sure I've left some loose ends dangling.) Do I presume to teach you a thing or two? Perhaps. Or maybe I'm just being reactionary against what seem to be dismissive and superior remarks.

I've said this before, "it's all about respect". Show a little and get an powerful lot in return.

i think that's against the rules....same as we can't send you entries by private message.

anyway, no personal message from you means that it's not in consideration?

sorry for not getting back to everyone. as i mentioned earlier we will not be able to comment on all the logos. the people who have the best designs are being contacted personally.

thank you for your time and entries
The contest holder has eliminated this entry from consideration
It would help all the designers here if you'd give feedback .vs just eliminating their designs.
Thanks a hell of a lot.

Hey everyone sorry for not replying sooner however the company is just starting up and there are a lot of things going on and i will unfortunetly not be able to reply to everyone.

The comapny is going to be developing lots of smaller businesses which is why we need a clean and simple design that can be abpplied to any field. it will be global so even a grid design of the earth could be useful. all of the designs will be judged by our CEO whom is currently not available now. hopefully i can give you all some feed back when we have a meeting. this is why I have set the time for 7 days to give us time to view all entrants. please bear with us as we narrow our choices.

any personal messages will be answered!

This being only a 7-day contest, it needs more feedback.

Ashtur1, Your design is almost the same as mine. Since mine was first you should delete it.
