I apologize - to be honest, I had a family emergency that had to be taken care of, as well as also had a design made for the site which went in a completely different direction than the contest was. I still choose a winner because I felt it was the right thing to do, even though I won't be using the design.

I really want to know why only mazen29 was given feedback, (with a few others). Seemed like you had your idea already found, but then it took almost a week and a half to choose your winner.

Thanks for all of the entries so for - I am currently out of town and trying to catch up on feedback... I might extend the contest by a day or two to given everyone a chance for revisions.

I got a proof mail to testify that this is indeed Brian Gardner conducting the contest(after I mailed through his site).
I still doubt if this is the real Brian Gardner conducting the contest, as I mailed through his site with no reply (on 27-Dec-2007). I expect to get a reply with my text as a proof...

Focus on the logo design. Otherwise you will just have a bunch of entries with drop shadows, bevels, glows and flashy colors. Once you find the winning logo, that designer can build the header and add all the effects.
