Hello designers,

We want to congratulate Peterporzsolt for winning this very competitive contest! He presented not 1, but 2 (#106 and #374) completely different, fantastic designs that made it to the final. His early entree #106 is our winning logo for its bold, creative and memorable symbol that cleverly represents a traditional mill in a modern design. Well done!

It has NOT been an easy choice though with some very strong runners up:

- Mologo with #290: a very cleverly designed logo with the mill ingeniously incorporated in the company name
- *Yachi* with several simple but great designs consistently taking the competition to a higher level
- KATAKAM who provided us with one design after the other with strong symbols and ending up with the final great design #362
- Stephanielok with #388 that combines a crisp but playful, modern font with a perfect symbol of a traditional mill on a hill which makes the overall logo just beautiful

We want to thank everybody else who has competed and we hope to see you all again in future contests, because we will definitely be back soon!

We want to thank everybody for over 400(!) designs and enthusiastic participation in this contest. We had a lot of fun seeing the creative and inspiring new designs every day. We will certainly return to 99designs when we have new design assignments. We did not expect the response would be this good and the level of design so high!

Sunday the 28th we'll pick a winner. This week we'll have the very difficult task to choose one logo out of at least 5 that are equally well designed and fit for purpose.

We're reaching the end of our competition. The final hours we give the designers of the 5 starred logo's the chance to post the final revisions that can win the race for them.

Any new entree that isn't a completely new, smashing design that sweeps us of our feet wont be considered anymore.

We'll work with the most promising designs the coming days. Anybody is free to try out new concepts of course, but don't be frustrated if we eliminate a design without feedback. We do appreciate all effort put in by designers (a lot!), but towards the end of the competition we focus on the designs closest to our vision.

For anybody new in the competition: do read the assignment carefully, read the comments so far and look at the designs that were eliminated before. That should give enough information to know what concept could still have a chance and what not.
