It's ok, admit it. It wasn't your idea.

I still think you stole the idea of using a P from #1 or #5

out of what has survived there are 18 different concepts. Clearly these designers were able to use a pocket, a square,a P or an S without copying each others ideas.

If you are arguing that it was and is impossible for you to come up with your own ideas, direction, and/or concept.. I am fully agreeing with you.

Where we differ is you seem to think that since it is impossible for you to create your own ideas, your own concept that it is acceptable, even defensible that because of your lack of talent, that you MUST copy other people, change the font, change the color, etc.. that that in your mind is actually how its supposed to work.

Im telling you it isnt. Waiting 4 days, observing 120 other design submissions, picking one you like and barely modifying it is a sure fire ethical breach and you should be willing to pay the real creative talent for their efforts.

Its not like you would walk away with nothing, i firmly believe you deserve 25% of what you stole since you did modify it a bit. Otherwise come up with something on your own. Several other designers were able to do this without complication.

    Thank You,

    SR

Both #1 and #5 use a P in their design. Looks like SR Promotions stole their idea.

So I guess using a pocket, a square, a P or an S was off limits after the first person to submit them.

    ok everyone,

Were not selling concepts here! if we were the site would be called 99CONCEPTS. were selling designs! hence the name of the site we are all on. i agree 100% with Str8edge on the matter. everyone is bound to wind up on the same concept every now and then. but it is up to us as good, or not-so-good, designers to come up with design based on that concept. and in this case Str8edge clearly has the better design. any joe blow can come up with a concept but only an artist, such as we, can turn those concepts into stunningly attractive designs which we hope will be chosen.

so i say congrats to Str8edge on his interpretation on the OBVIOUS concept of "squared".

and to you SP promotions,if you are truely the great design you claim to be you would suck it up and try to out design Str8edge.

    thank you.

    HePiMen,

I was referring as the newbie to graphic design (the ones that still reference class's, etc...), not to this site, this site is one of endless other open design medias.

LOL. Newbies don't have enough character, yet one entered 4 contests and the other 7... :)))

Anyway, get used to this. Until 99designs will make other entries invisible to entrants, things like these will happen, unfortunately.

    Str8edge,

It would be arrogant if im #13 and your #14 or even #20 as people work at different speeds. It would be conceivable that both of us worked on the same concept at the same time. It would be conceivable that a CH would suggest this type of concept and want to see some designs for it.

Its idiotic to think that someone would come in a hundred designs into the contest, having looked at what has been eliminated and what hasnt, has read the feedback, has seen the concepts that the CH likes and then comes up with the exact same concept and trys to proclaim "I thought of it".

It seems over 100 designs from tens of designers were able to put in designs NOT using this concept. Then you come in 4 days after its started, 120 designs in, and try to tell everyone that your idea is original.

So pathetic when the newbies dont have enough character to just admit to the rest of us "Im sorry, I wasnt blessed with creative talent, I steal other peoples ideas and pawn them off as my own. What other option do I have?"

4 days into the contest, 120 designs submitted, plenty eliminated and you copy by concept then try to pawn it off as your own and IM arrogant? lol

Show a little character, and own up to your actions.

    Thank You,

    SR

SR Promotions, I'll say it again and frankly I don't care whether you believe me or not, I was not inspired nor influenced by your design. And it's pretty arrogant to think you are the only one who could have possibly come up with the concept. Next you'll be accusing everyone who used a P in their design of stealing from you.
